Adah Sharma Breaks Down In TEARS As She Meets Real Life Victims Of The Kerala Story; Actress Shares Warm Hugs With Them-See VIDEO
Bollywood actor Adah Sharma has been making headlines ever since her film ‘The Kerala Story’ hit theatres. While the film is embroiled in several controversies, the actress has been garnering praise for her portrayal of Shalini Unnikrishnan/ Fatima Ba in the movie. Adah, who has been promoting the film on different platforms, recently attended an event in Mumbai where she met the real-life victims of ‘The Kerala Story.’ The actress got emotional meeting them and was seen in tears.

In a video shared on a paparazzo’s Instagram handle, Adah is seen on the stage when one of the victims came close to her and hugged the actress. Adah shared a warm hug with the women as they both indulged in conversation. One could see tears in Adah’s eyes as she talks to the victims. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Rediffmail, Adah Sharma spoke about ‘The Kerala Story’ and asserted it’s not just a film, it's a movement'. 
She was quoted saying, “I meet young girls who find The Kerala Story cool. I bump into young boys who have seen the film four-five times already and are rattling off the dialogues, outlining specific scenes. The Kerala Story is no longer just another film, it's become a movement.” 



Adah also talked about meeting and interacting with girls who lived the horror that people watched in the film. “I did meet some very brave girls who are giving interviews about their ordeal. Of course, not the girl I play in the film because Shalini is still in jail in Afghanistan. I thought the testimonial in Malayalam, of the mother whose daughter had hanged herself, was really touching at the end of the film,” she further said. On a related note, The Kerala Story has been directed by Sudipto Sen and also stars Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. The film, which was released on 5 May, depicted the story of a group of women from Kerala who are converted to Islam and were forced to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The film is doing extremely well at the box office as it has collected a whopping Rs. 165 crores at the ticket window.
